Faith Themes in 'Lost'

Umm, season five of "Lost" starts on Wednesday. I am SO excited! What do you think of the "battle" between faith and science as portrayed in "Lost"?

So, I'm a giant dork and am re-watching season 1 with some friends. I am becoming more and more convinced that Locke has been working for/possessed by/in cahoots with the Island all along. In one of the very first episodes he meets the smoke monster, and after that he's all weird. Jack will see Christian and follow him into the jungle and then Locke will appear. He finds the hatch because he "feels" it.

I'm not sure if he's fully aware of it or what, but after the ending of last season and the whole Jacob vs. the Gray Guy, I think the Gray Guy might be possessing Locke or something.

Thoughts?

I'm reading The Time Traveler's Wife right now, and you're totally right. I'm not loving it nearly as much as LOST.

Greg, I've been doing a Bible study on Wednesday nights. :-) It's almost over, though, so I'll probably start watching So You Think You Can Dance. It's so good!

I read "The Time Traveler's Wife" about a year or two ago. It wasn't anywhere near as exciting or thought provoking as Lost, but maybe you'll get more out of it than I did.
