What is the P.E.A.C.E. Plan?

The P.E.A.C.E. Plan is a massive effort to mobilize 1 billion Christians around the world into an outreach effort to attack the five global, evil giants of our day. These are the world’s biggest problems, affecting billions, not just millions, of people.

Spiritual emptiness

  • Twenty-five percent of the world’s people groups have never heard the name of Jesus Christ.

Corrupt leadership

  • In much of the world, self-centered and even corrupt leaders in both public and private sectors abuse their power to serve themselves instead of using their power and influence for the good of those who need help the most.

Poverty

  • Half of the world lives on less than $2 a day.

Disease

  • Three-hundred million people suffer from curable diseases.
  • Forty million people are infected with HIV/AIDS.

Illiteracy

  • Half of the world is functionally illiterate.

These five global giants ravage the lives of billions of people worldwide and all work together to constrain them and cut them off from knowing the saving grace of a loving God who sent his son, Jesus Christ, to die for their sins allowing them eternal hope and security. There is no organization or government that can effectively eradicate these giants. The only successful solution is the global Church of Jesus Christ.

The P.E.A.C.E. Plan is about ordinary people, empowered by God, making a difference together wherever they are. Jesus Christ prescribed this solution to the global giants in the Great Commandment and the Great Commission:

Jesus replied: "'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.'” Matthew 22:37-39 (NIV)

Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." Matthew 28:18-20 (NIV)

These global giants will be attacked in a holistic manner throughout the church’s local community (Jerusalem), nearby communities (Judea), regional area crossing cultural barriers (Samaria), and globally (to the entire world). This will be done by carrying out sustainable and reproducible actions of P.E.A.C.E.
