How is the P.E.A.C.E. Plan unique?
The vision of P.E.A.C.E. is for every follower of Jesus Christ to be mobilized for the global glory of God. The distinct and unique foundational methods of this mobilization are as follows:
Purpose Driven
- Living out the five biblical purposes personally and through your small group and church
- Committed to the Great Commandment and the Great Commission
- Every member “on-mission,” implementing the “P.E.A.C.E. Plan”
- The P.E.A.C.E. Plan is a lay movement, designed to mobilize average church members to do normal tasks that can change the world. There aren’t enough doctors, teachers, missionaries, and other professionals to defeat the global giants. Everyone can participate in personal, local, and global P.E.A.C.E. projects.
Led by small groups
- Small group driven
- Every small group living out the five purposes — P.E.A.C.E. being “mission”
- Reproducible methods and tools that everyone in a small group can use
- The P.E.A.C.E. Plan is a small group strategy that utilizes group dynamics for support and accountability. Jesus always sent his followers out in teams.
Attacks the global giants
- Global giants are addressed holistically (all five giants)
- Giants are attacked globally by the “civilian army” of local church members
- Led by the Holy Spirit for the global glory of God
- The P.E.A.C.E. Plan is a comprehensive strategy, which attacks all five problems because they are entwined. NGOs specialize and governments ignore the spiritual dimension, but churches are called to care about all of the problems.
Networks church to church
- Local church to local church
- Believers equipping believers
- External help is intentionally short-term; it depends on resources in the harvest (utilizes local resources in the field)
- The P.E.A.C.E. Plan is a grassroots church-to-church strategy, linking congregations around the world to make a difference together.
- The P.E.A.C.E. Plan is a church-based strategy that makes local congregations the heroes, rather than government or NGO staff. It honors and values their role in their communities. We believe local church leaders understand local needs better than outsiders and that churches, because of their location, motivation, longevity, and credibility, are the best grassroots organization to tackle the five giants.
Sends to the whole world
- Worldwide –- Exponential thinking is required
- Sending is for every church and believer (in their Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, and to all peoples)
- Sends to unreached peoples in addition to local outreach (a “missions” focus)
- The P.E.A.C.E. Plan is a global strategy. Our goal is to mobilize every church in every nation.
