Welcome to Purpose Driven Ministries
Purpose Driven Ministries is a global ministry of Saddleback Church. At Purpose Driven we believe that the work of the church is to grow warmer through fellowship, deeper through discipleship, stronger through worship, broader through ministry and larger through evangelism. Our aim is to help local congregations around the world reach and maintain a healthy balance between the five biblical purposes – worship, fellowship, discipleship, ministry, and missions – expressed in the Great Commandment (Matthew 22:37-40) and the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19-20).
We do this by training church leaders in Purpose Driven principles, developing curriculum and tools that support the local church in its efforts, by encouraging a community of like-minded congregations and leaders, and by modeling this vision of church health at Saddleback Church in Lake Forest, California, the home congregation for our ministry.
The Purpose Driven model is used by congregations around the world, including those large and small, denominational and non-denominational, charismatic and non-charismatic, new plant and well-established, urban and rural. Over 300,000 church leaders in 22 languages have been directly trained, and there are now Purpose Driven congregations in every country of the world.
