We’re thrilled that you’ve accepted our invitation to join us at Saddleback Church, May 20-22, 2008. At this by-invitation-only event you will…
1. Learn the best practices of 35 effective pastors in the areas of Worship, Evangelism, Fellowship, Discipleship, Ministry, Missions, Preaching, and Partnering with Business leaders in your church.
2. Learn from a panel of effective business leaders how to partner with the business leaders in your congregation.
3. Hear four powerful sessions by Rick Warren;
“The Secrets of Lasting in the Ministry”
“Developing a Spiritually Mature Church”
“Better Together: The Power of Partnering”
“Our Mission in the World: A New Reformation?”
4. Participate in the public launch of The PEACE Coalition, based on the P.E.A.C.E. plan we’ve been testing for 4 years in 68 countries. P.E.A.C.E. stands for plan for 5 actions Jesus modeled: Promote reconciliation/Plant churches, Equip leaders, Assist the poor, Care for the sick, and Educate the next generation,
Over the past 4 years, Saddleback sent out 1,002 PEACE teams (7,766 of our members) to 68 countries to test prototypes of this plan to put mobilize millions of ordinary members for missions.. We’ve now studied all the data from our beta-testing, and we will release P.E.A.C.E. 2.0 (“the Gemini phase”) at this summit to any church who wants to use it.
The PEACE Coalition is a “network of networks” that we’ve been quietly building including churches, businesses, denominations, NGOs, governments, and individuals as peace partners, peace patrons, and peace ambassadors. I hope you’ll be a founding partner.
The goal of this summit is action, not merely discussion. We live in critical days. So each church will be asked to select a country and begin a P.E.A.C.E. project, working directly with an overseas church. We will provide a list of P.E.A.C.E. project requests from around the world. As James said, we must be “doers of the word, not hearers only.”
In the final session of this summit, we will go public with the launch of The P.E.A.C.E. Coalition, a “network of networks” that we’ve been quietly building including churches, businesses, denominations, NGOs, governments, and individuals as peace partners, peace patrons, and peace ambassadors. I hope you’ll be a founding partner.
If you haven’t yet invited a key business leader to attend with you,
don’t forget to do so, and register them too!
PREPARING YOURSELF FOR THE SUMMIT
Because this summit will be unlike any other, there are two things I need you to do to prepare for it. After you have registered, I’d like for you to take the time to fill out the PRE-SUMMIT SURVEY of your thoughts and concerns before you arrive. Second, after you do that I’ll email you some MP3 audio messages I want youto listen to in advance. It will put us all on the same page. Thanks!

Rick Warren
